Awards  
Awarded the first prize in the PEOPLE IN THE NEWS STORY category at the 42nd World      Press Photo competition held in 1999 for his acid victims and survivors story
 
The Care Award for Best Humanitarian Reportage in 1999 for his acid story.

Exhibitions  
A month long exhibition with UNICEF as the partner on the Acid victims and survivors: Violence Against Women in Bangladesh at the UNICEF premises, Dhaka.
 
This is part of the on-going campaign to raise social awareness against this inhuman act all over Bangladesh with the help of Canadian CIDA, an international agency.
 
His acid victims and survivors images are part of a television documentary created by ABC Network in United States in 1999.
