Portfolios:

Chandan is a free lance photographer who has been working with different concerns in Bangladesh since 1985. He is teaching in Bangladesh Photographic Institute since 1991. His photographs have been highly appreciated all around the globe. Specialist collections of five years include documentation works of destitute women and children in Kamalapur Railway Station, Dhaka.

PHOTOGRAPHY TRAINING:
Completed basic course of Photography in Begart Institute of Photography in 1981. Joined several photography workshops, Journalism, Architecture and Interior photography, conducted by both Bangladeshi and foreign trainers from Germany, U.S.A. and England.

Distinction `EXCELANCE’ from International Federation of Art Photography (EFIAP) Belgium 1991.

LANGUAGES:  Can read and write both Bangla and English.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

JOURNEYMAN Interior.
Product: Documentation of all interiors of different residence and restaurants designed by Nazneen Haque Mimi.
Published in The Life Style magazine of The Daily STAR. 2002 to 2009

SHATOTTO.
Product: Architecture photography of many buildings designed by
The famous architect Rafiq Azam. One of his buildings design was nominated for AGA KHAN Architecture Award in 2005.             2002 to 2007

Dharitri.
Product: Documentation of The Projects funded by Swiss Development Corporation. 1997

Save The Children.
Product: Documentation of children of the garment workers, taken care of by their relatives at home and Day care centre. 1997.

Terre Des Hommes.
Product: Documentation of poor and homeless people living in Winter Shelter provided
by TDH during peak winter in northern part of Bangladesh. 1996.

Concern Bangladesh.
Documentation of 200 Biharee Refugees provided new homes that use to live in a
cinema hall in Sayedpur. 1995.

Teaching Experience

1994        A book (The People at Kamlapur Railway Station) countering sixty photographs during the exhibition in Switzerland. 

1992        One photograph on Rohinga Refugee from Mayanmar in New York Times, USA.
